Hi I’m Leslie founder and voice of 40andglowing.com Anti-Aging & Beauty Blog. I created this website to share what I’ve learned on my personal anti-aging journey with other women who are 40 and up. If you’re interested in learning simple effective ways to maintain youthful skin, reverse damage, make-up tips for mature skin and more than your in the right place.

Shortly before I turned 40 I noticed my normal everyday go-to makeup was no longer working. It was even beginning to make my fine lines and large pores show up worse than without make-up. And the puffy dark eye circles… there was no hiding them. It seemed my years of basking in the sun as a lifeguard, college days of spending late nights in smoke filled bars and not washing my make-up off before bed had caught up with me and were wreaking havoc on my skin. I knew it was time to get serious about my anti-aging skin care regimen!

I tried what seemed like every anti-aging cream, serum and night solution available. Some of these products helped somewhat but most not to the degree I had hoped. Next I tried brand after brand of make-up and application techniques. Once again I was disappointed with many not because they were bad products but weren’t formulated or designed for mature problematic skin. Skin care and beauty is supposed to be a fun enjoyable way to practice self care but it can be quite intimidating trying to figure out which products are right for your specific skin concerns, will compliment the ingredients of other products you use and that will actually work without leaving your skin dry and irritated. If you’re starting to have these same problems, have been dealing with them for years or even a decade or two I can help you.

My goal is to help bring enjoyment back into taking care of and pampering your skin by providing you with the latest research, products that work and are affordable. You can count on me to give my honest opinion of products and to take the hard work out of finding skin care that delivers results. I have worked as an Independent Sales Consultant with several top make-up brands over the past 15 years and loved being able to help introduce anti-aging products and make-up to women that increased their confidence. Aging is part of a natural process but it doesn’t mean that you still can’t have healthy beautiful skin. I hope you leave this site feeling a little better from the information you found to help solve your beauty concerns. It’s never too late to start an anti-aging skin care regimen that will have you looking and feeling your best.
