What is the Foreo Iris

The Foreo Iris Eye Massager is a non-invasive, ophthalmologist approved eye massage tool that was inspired by traditional Asian fingertip tapping and lymphatic drainage methods.

Acupressure finger tapping reduces the appearance of dark circles, refreshes, and de-puffs weary eyes by enhancing lymphatic drainage. It also aids in easing facial muscle tension and eye strain from long sessions on the phone, computer screen and small text.

The Foreo Iris is designed to fit the shape of your eyes and help improve the effectiveness of your favorite eye care products. Anti-aging benefits are maximized by boosting absorption and driving key ingredients deep into the skin.

How Does the Foreo Iris Eye Massager Work?

The science behind the Foreo Iris is truly fascinating and showcases the innovative technology that sets it apart from other anti-aging eye tools on the market.

One of the key scientific principles behind the device is the use of T-Sonic pulsations. These gentle pulsations help stimulate the skin and improve blood circulation. This results in less puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. The pulsations also help to improve the absorption of your favorite skincare products. This allows them to penetrate deeper layers of skin and maximize their benefits.

Additionally, the Foreo Iris uses advanced sonic technology, which generates high-frequency vibrations to gently massage the delicate skin around the eyes. This not only provides a soothing and relaxing experience, but it also helps to promote collagen production, leading to firmer and more elastic skin.

Another scientific aspect to consider is the unique design of the Foreo Iris. The ergonomic shape and size of the device are based on extensive research and user feedback, ensuring optimal comfort and ease of use.

Overall, the Foreo Iris combines scientific research, innovative technology, and thoughtful design to deliver exceptional results in the fight against aging skin.

My Experience with the Foreo Iris

The real question everyone wants to know is “Does the Foreo Iris really work?”. So, I won’t waste your time telling you about the packaging and unboxing, I’ll get straight to the point.

I have a condition called hypothyroid disease in which my thyroid gland pretty much just doesn’t work anymore. Some side effects of this disease is dry skin and inflammation.   So quite often (especially if I miss a dose of medication or three), I end up with some horrific dark circles and puffy eye bags.

I ordered the Foreo Iris several months ago after scouring the internet for solutions other than caffeine and eye creams for my dark eye circles and puffy eye bags. Nothing I had tried prior to the Iris made much of a difference and to be honest I really didn’t expect the results of the Iris to be any different, but it was!

Upon the first use it took me a minute to get the Foreo Iris turned on. You have to press and hold the + and – buttons at the same time to unlock your device. Next when you press the power button your device goes into Spa Mode which is tapping motions and pulsations. If you press the power button a second time your device goes into Pure Mode which uses tapping motions only and is good for those with sensitivity.

I decided that I need as much help as possible, so I chose to go with the Spa Mode. Excited to try my new device I didn’t put a lubricant on and quickly realized the Iris pulled on the skin around my eyes. I got my favorite anti-aging moisturizer out Tatcha’s The Dewy Skin Cream and put a generous amount around my eyes and it was much easier to glide across the eye area. Plus, the Foreo Iris is supposed to help your favorite skin care products absorb better.

I found the process of using the iris pampering and pleasant, as it tapped away at my puffy eye bags and tense eye muscles. Within the first 3-4 days of use I began to notice that my eye bags weren’t as puffy as normal and were becoming less visible with each use. This gave me the needed motivation to stick with it and use my Iris regularly, twice a day for the next 30 days.

At the end of these 30 days, I had officially become a Foreo fan. My puffy eye bags had nearly vanished, skin under my eyes were more taut and the dark circles under my eyes had diminished substantially.

The one benefit I didn’t see as much improvement as I would have liked were my fine lines and crow’s feet. There were some improvements in this area, but not as much as in the puffiness and dark circles, and this is why I rated the Foreo Iris a 9 out of 10.

What’s the Difference in the Foreo Iris 2?

From the information I was able to find there are very few differences between the Foreo Iris and the Foreo Iris 2. Both versions of the Foreo Iris Eye Massager deliver the same benefits. However, there are no statistics that verify better results between one device or the other.

  • Lasts 3 times longer on a single charge-150 treatments
  • A more quite motor
  • Has a low battery indicator light
  • Small circular indentions on the sides for better grip

Foreo Iris Modes and Settings

The Foreo Iris has different modes and speed intensities that are carefully calibrated to target different skin concerns and provide customized treatment.

Spa Mode

Spa mode combines Acupressure a finger tapping movement with T-Sonic pulsations to create a professional beauty treatment.

When you first turn your Foreo Iris on it will be in spa mode. This mode is suggested for use on skin that has more pronounced signs of aging.

Pure Mode

Pure mode mimics manual eye massage with tapping movement alone that is very gentle on skin around the eyes. This mode is perfect for use on skin that is just beginning to show traces of aging. To use the pure mode press the power button once more after the device has been turned on.

8 Intensity Levels

For maximum comfort there are 8 different intensity levels for each mode. To increase or decrease the intensity level you can press the + or – buttons. The Foreo Iris will also remember the setting you previously used for your next session.

Integrated Timer

The integrated timer will pause pulsations after 30 seconds to indicate when you should move the device to the next eye. The device will also cut itself off after 3-minuites to prevent overuse.
